I'm happy you're serious. I am. And grumpy doesn't scratch the surface ; ) |

JS: Of COURSE the"JS" comment was aimed at you. What's wrong with you? You don't know "friendly" friendly fire when you experience it? First, you diss IP and CP for having an occasional sense of humor, then you get mad when I up the ante and call for armed insurrection. Make up your mind. Trust me on this. (Remembering that nobody hesitates to call ME crazy.) Nobody's keeping track of the racial shit anymore but you. All I meant to give you was a cheerful on the ass saying, "You wanted serious. Here's serious." And I am. As serious as you. Maybe not as cussedly, ornerily, cross-eyed, draw-first-and-think-later, ironheaded GRUMPY as you. But close. Hey. When I cash in my chips following Peter into the killing fields of the Berkeley City Council, you're definitely invited to the funeral. If that doesn't cool your jets, I'll have to risk the wrath of InstaPunk by nominating you as an even bigger prick than he is. Which would logically mean you should be running this site, not him. So far, though, I'm sticking with him. He hates his enemies more than his friends. Maybe not by much, but do microns count? |

"I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." Notice that supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States against All Enemies is primary. Nobody rational wants to live through armed revolution and general rioting in the streets. A contained, constrained reaction by professionals is to be greatly preferred. |

>>Saul Alinsky. I've been turning that guy's insights over in my mind for a little bit now, though I read him many years ago, and maybe there's something to adopting his tactics. But you know, I don't necessarily think it would work best for forwarding our interests, but instead for other purposes - if we would be willing to do it. Alinsky held that its often best to make your opponents live up to their own ideals, to limit them by their own rules. OK. In order for us to do this effectively vs. the leftists, it would be necessary to focus on the areas we can easily see where their hypocrisy lies. So: There are always Peace marches in support of Hamastinians blowing up Jews, but never any shouts for Peace to oppose that. We'll show up in support of Israel, sometimes, but we're seen as 'warmongers'. That's a significant problem. Why can't we have our own Peace marches? If we have the initiative on capturing the term 'peace', then what will any counter-marches be seen as? Only one possible example, and the easiest one to explain. We need to capture their slogans, not merely their methods. We know they are wrong and are liars, so it shouldn't be as hard as it is for us to be truthful, right? |

If I'm the sorry old ass you're referring to, I suppose I should be flattered. On the other hand, my sorry ass has been "in gear" all my life. I say and do as I like. I am not the least bit afraid of being labeled a racist, for instance. I know what is right and what is wrong. I don't have many friends because I choose so. I don't suffer fools at all. As for "sorry"? Sorry. I hold three belts, and have used them, and I am an excellent shot. I am also an expert in regards to human motivation and behavior. If you see what I write as whining, we have a gulch too far too cross. This all depends on me being the "JS" Best regards... |

Hm. I've been saying for a while now that we're in need of another tea party. This whole Great Experiment did begin basically as a tax revolt after all. But even such a mild suggestion has been met with responses like, "Woah, hey there big fella, you looking for a visit from Homeland Security?" TP may be slightly unhinged, but I have more than a sneaking suspicion that until the voices of reality stop being so damned civil and start learning from the Left and, in short, pretty much do what TP is saying here, it's just not going to stop. The only way to make bad children (as well as corrupt politicians, brainwashed lunatics and others of similarly infantile mindsets) behave is to make them understand that you can and will escalate farther than they. I hope and pray this growing idiocy ends without bloodshed. But the usual answer to my prayers is, "No." |

ACORN. Saul Alinsky. Douglas Hyde. The rest. These are the models for the way will win, if we are to win. Protest don't work. Typical political lobbying doesn't work, as the TARP and "stimulus" votes have shown us. Electoral politics as an option may be slipping away when some ideological leaders of the "opposition," fools like Medved and David Frum are just today telling Republicans to be Democrats. That is where we are heading, folks. The ballot box has to wait. Forget public protests. They don't do anything, and they're too regulated. Get the personal address, email and phone number of key legislators in your state, your congressmen and senators (in DC as well). Gather cash to put P-I's on as many of them as you can - all the ones who are the most demonic. Go to their houses. Block traffic into their driveways and gated communities. Bring all the children you can, all the small business owners, all the unemployed. Bring a generator, PA and some mics. And tell them and their neighbors how these fools are destroying the country, killing everything that makes this country worth caring about. It's not easy to organize, I know because that's what we're trying to put together here in the soviet of WA. They are marked. We really want to save them from the guillotines of their patchwork constituency groups if they were to wake up lose it. Shame them. Show up in their legislative committee hearings in droves and give your testimony on TV. Take your cameras and put it on YouTube. Organize sit-ins in their legislative offices, and the various dens of the bureaucrats. Use as many of the the tactics Alinsky perfected against business as you ethically can, but aim them at the politicians and other government employees. Don't protest in the streets. Its tiresome, and such events made for media don't work when that leftist institution doesn't cover them. Instead, protest in the parking lot and lobby of your local TV station and newspaper. Over load their switchboards and email accounts with communications so, if they won't respond or cover, you're at least shutting them down. Do the same for all the leftist lobby groups you can; crash every union meeting you can find and try to outnumber them. They must understand they are killing the country and the culture. The tools to begin, at least one of these efforts, are Twitter, Facebook, Linked-In, Meetup and MySpace. Unfortunately, it can't happen overnight. Use your local GOP framework to start building your network. The Republican Party is filled with disgruntled conservatives and libertarians. Rock the boat, and they'll get excited - maybe for the first time. It's starting to work here in WA, even though they were mostly resistant to me (all of us) when we started. Its working, but its slow. It will snowball once the Reagan conservatives start to get it. Then, watch out. Make sure to market your events and your efforts like you would anything else. Make the politicians overreach, make them try to crush you. Make them use the law, the police and the jails. Public opinion will turn on them - and the politicians may start backing off even before that happens since the shit will have already been scared out of them. Don't play around in the streets begging for attention. Strike at the root, of the problem, of the enemy. Give them the choice to buckle or use force. Either way, we will start to win. I'm becoming convinced this is the only way. Might must finally be employed by those in the right. |

urthshu: Look. Everybody knows TruePunk is crazy. "What to Do" is still coming. Why don't you go answer Angela's question? Back at the Super Nanny State post. Unless you don't have an answer. Which is what Mrs. IP thinks. She says you're just a poseur. |
urthshu 2009-02-18 02:48:00
Hrm. That's it? I would've expected something more imaginative, like nobody filing taxes. Not that I think you're wrong, per se. Universal tax revolts take more coordination than I think we're capable of at this point. |
