The left is adept at couching their personal jealousies and resentments as self-righteousness. Always have been. They punish the excellent, because excellence is not "fairly" distributed. If you can't redistribute excellence, at least you can the spoils of such.

I have always considered production a virtue. Still, your anecdote on exorbitant tax rates strikes home. Why in God's name would anyone toil to take home the dime when they can expend exponentially less effort and take home forty-five cents?

There are a great number of axioms which are apparently taboo within the political realm. This has always disturbed me. We purport to stand as the apex of transparency and expression, yet avoid stating the obvious for reasons I can't fully grasp. This has led to my general disgust for nearly all politicians, regardless of party affiliation.

It's the starks truths, simply stated that have the most impact. Sadly, the progressives are so inoculated by their narrative that even after seeing the historical evidence of the Laffer Curve, they'll still respond with the "tax the rich" mantra.

Remember....... during the 2008 campaign, Obama was asked, if lowering tax rates would lead to increased tax revenues, why would he want to raise tax rates? He replied that he would raise tax rates because it was a matter of fairness!!!!!!!!!

This whole thing isn't about funding the government, it's about redistribution of the wealth and punishing the successful because their success makes others feel inferior. And...., we certainly wouldn't want anyone's self-esteem to be tarnished.

If you have a unit of operation, say, on a material that has a resistance to a change in motion, let us call motion the added value that is contributed by a person who would otherwise be inactive (or selflish?).

What you have to sustain is the 'physical' human (only inertia presents (any kind of) reality). What capitalism propels is a feeling of fancy that comes from accomplishing business objectives (killing); at some level of value (wealth creation) the incorporation of a *real material asset* is assumed (necessitated) to occur. The human actor has *no capacity whatsoever* to add the necessary energy to the system - in fact the actor must then depend utterly on circumstances demonstrably beyond its/his/her control.

Farming is such a system, and such systems feed (and Equalize) the masses. Well, the Sun radiates and ultimately dies. But Free, in a relative sense, are the actions inside the farmers *seeds* (over time).

At any rate, the creation of a "quasi-paper system" that allows the 'fractional reserve mechanics' of modern economic debt-creation [absolute global debt versus actual core capital is a real ratio] ---> (serial numbers corresponding to actual notes and dollars, yuan, finitum) / (time value of recurring debt payments taken over term of debt) = (rate of incorporation of products and services into hands of indebted actors). Maybe.

Such fractional reserve mechanics allow adjustements to be made corresponding to a rate of change (in a macroscopic demand gradient) - by adjusting the rate of interest the FED can adjust the rate of debt creation and thereby influence the rate of demand for insta-purchases (on credit cards). Extra energy (in terms of anticipated economic stability versus the value of debt over time) is allowed to enter into the product-creation demand cycle, so long as the product creator senses (in a personal way) that the value they receive in terms of "derivative products and feelings of security" are worth the exchange being made. When a person has debt obligations, they are not Free in the sense of the seed in the Farmland.

And this is not an appeal to change or deny the Past, it is an appeal to accept and embrace the Future.
