Joe: "Unreal persecution complex. Get help. " Funny, I don't feel persecuted. I feel fine. People talk. Some make sense. Others don't. Some get the jokes, others don't. It's life, as the French would say if they learned how to speak English. |

RL you can't quit. Not pleading but observing that can't bring yourself to do it. Mostly because you need to write at some level, but also because you haven't found the Keith to your Mick [Which, pardon, is probably part of the issue. You seem to keep looking for another Mick.] |

I'm the one who's willing to talk to them. Something they can never forgive. Unreal persecution complex. Get help. |

RL Chronology: Europeans hated each other (as all people do) based on the most salient line of division. The Ulster Volunteer Force battled the IRA forever. One faction was protestant and the other Catholic. Introduce 1 million Somalis or Pakistanis, and watch those Catholics and Protestants figure out they have a larger issue on their hands. You're free to call me an anti-semite, but you have to understand. While all healthy people have an aversion to being accused of being hateful / racist/ antisemitic, etc., they can also develop an immunity. Consider what the late great Sam Francis said of the term racism: "its only application has been by the enemies of the ideas it purports to describe, and hence it has no objective meaning apart from its polemical usage. If no one calls his own ideas "racism" and its only application is to a body of ideas considered to be untrue and evil, then it has no use other than as a kind of fancy curse word, the purpose of which is to simply demonize anyone who expresses the ideas it is supposed to describe." In other words, you might as well call me a poo-poo head. |

Joe: Welcome back to civilized discussion. Though you're still a racist anti-Semite as far as I can tell. I'm even more amazed by your failure to discover Europeans hate one another. However, I was there in a professional capacity. The rubber does hit the road when you put a Belgian in charge of a German or an Italian in charge of an Englishman. Cute to be put into a numbered category of error. Sorry. I don't do categories. You're not stupid on the phone. You're stupid when you start stereotyping. For the moment you've backed off.. Keep it up and others here will start taking you seriously too. |

Ugh, misuse of the Shoa to make your talking points. Who needs rational argument when you have Spiegelman's lachrymose artwork. It reminds me of the actual anti-semites (not people who criticize a state or a lobby) who show piles of bodies to indict all Jews for the casualties attributed to a couple Jewish philosophers. Rob, as far as I know, you haven't administered an IQ test with standard deviation metrics to me. You've only called me smart on the phone, and stupid when I disagreed with you on your blog. You believe in American exceptionalism: You fall into Wilmot Robinson's category of: 4) "Old Believers Whites who honestly believe their White, idealistic religious, economic, political beliefs can work for everyone. If only the world accepted their version of Christianity, their version of free market economics, the original intent of the American Constitutional republic with separation of powers, Bill of Rights etc everything would be OK and there wouldn’t be any racial conflict. We would say that these people are nice, well meaning “idiots” – “useful idiots” as Stalinist Communists would call them." You believe America is a propositional nation, even though the people whom the elites have imported to replace you don't buy into it, and will hold an unassailable majority which will turn the republicans into the Whigs; this is not speculation, this is 3rd grade math that even a ravenous stupid anti-semite like me can comprehend. In your screed about Jewish success, you boiled antipathy over a Nation's actions (and constant spying, and using their children as chattel) down to a reductionist paradigm of what blacks call "player hating." Yes, Rob, I pointed out our culture of hypocrisy because the Jew's house and his brain are bigger than mine. And we all know what any criticism of Jews leads to, thanks to your little graphic at the top of the page. Despite half a century of anti-white rhetoric (Susan Sontag, Noel Ignatiev, Amiri Baraka) white people are still alive, and there haven't been any pogroms. But even one or two (literally) comments from me is going to bring the house down on the Jew, despite the fact that he is smart and I am dumb, and he is rich while I am poor. I think we have both lived in Europe. I didn't detect that Europeans (ethnic, not propositional fantasy land Europeans) hated each other. When your neighbors are saying "Allah uh Akbar" and throwing acid in your girlfriend's face, you tend to let bygones be bygones with the blokes down at the pub; hence the rise of the EDL, BNP, Golden Dawn, etc. And Bob, in the latter half of your entry all you did was enumerate the reasons why American exceptionalism should be able to allow some dissent and genuine debate on this subject. Yet you invoked Godwin's law immediately. You are right that America in 2012 is not Quisling's Norway circa '44. That's why this conversation is taking place. And why Pat Buchanan is not in a gulag for crime-think for speaking on the subject of AIPAC / Capital Hill. Our planet might potentially explode due to one miscalculation in the Middle East. If this is Dr. Strangelove, I am neither Peter Sellers or Sterling Hayden. http://takimag.com/article/how_bill_kristol_purged_the_arabists_patrick_buchanan#axzz1wIwWnKR4

I just watched a fascinating documentary on Netflix called "Paperclips". I strongly recommend it. I think in some small way it speaks to this. |
