Ah, but we have no reason to worry. "The Air Force insists the bomb was being used for practice and did not contain the plutonium trigger needed for a nuclear explosion." See? Although if this was "pracice", it baffles me why they wouldn't just use a bomb casing filled with lead. But who knows, that was the 50's, and a lot of stuff didn't make sense back then. Reminds me of the Far Side cartoon where a guy is on stage, having unsuccessfully tried to juggle 12 nuclear warheads. An upset man in the audience starts shouting - "looks more like diffused nuclear warheads to me."
